Revolutionizing our way of living
| About IMI | 2008 Highlights | Strategic Initiatives | Consolidated Highlights | Contact | Ayala's electronics manufacturing group, Integrated Microelectronics, Inc. (IMI), began in 1980 as a small company with a few hundred employees. Today, it is one of the top 50 electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers in the world.
IMI was established to serve the growing demand for outsourced technology services. It moved into EMS and shortly afterwards developed capabilities in design and prototyping. It grew fast by accessing demand in the region and other parts of the world.
It established its global footprint in 2005 when it acquired the EMS assets of Saturn Electronics and Engineering Inc. in the United States, and merged with Singapore-based EMS provider Speedy-Tech Electronics Ltd. These acquisitions resulted in establishing an advanced manufacturing engineering and new product introduction center in California, and manufacturing plants and design centers in China and Singapore. Today, IMI has a total of ten manufacturing sites: five in China, three in the Philippines, one each in Singapore and the United States. Its sales offices are located in the Philippines, China, Singapore, Japan, the United States, and Germany.
